The series of photographs by Ângela Ferreira "Highway Vegetable Patches: Agrarian Reform",  presented at the exhibition Vegatable Gardens of Lisbon: From the Middle Ages to the 21st century, provides the key note for a conversation about informal vegetable gardens with the artist and researchers David Santos and Pedro Varela.

The processes of appropriation and identity reconstruction, but also strategies of mutual assistance lead us in this in-depth look at the horticultural landscape of a post-colonial Lisbon and the communities of migrants from Portuguese-speaking African countries.
