Call for posters for the Internacional Congress Perfomance Buildings in Roman Lusitania

The  Museu  de  Lisboa  -  Teatro  Romano  invites  all  those  interested  to  participate  in  the International Congress - Performance Buildings in Roman Lusitania, that will be held on March 24th and 25th 2023, in the auditorium of Museu do Fado, in Lisbon.  

This  participation  can  be  in  poster  format  which  will  be  on  display  for  the  duration  of  the International Congress. 

The aim is to encourage the participation of students and researchers who develop research on performance buildings in Roman times or on other aspects that, in a direct or indirect way, are  related to the theme.  Art History, Architecture, Archaeology, Museology, Conservation and Restoration are some of contemplated  areas. The  intention  is  to  stimulate  the  participation  of researchers and/or students, feeding the diversity of studies and public presentations, contributing to the discussion and to new research perspectives. 

Abstracts,  submitted  until January  31st,  2023,  will  be  accepted  for  consideration,  whilst complying the following rules: 

– Abstracts should not exceed 500 words and may be written in Portuguese, Spanish and/or English; 
– Proposals must have the author's name and institutional affiliation only in the body of the email and not in the abstract to be sent as attachment; 
– The proposals must have a title, a succinct and clear explanation of the theme, objectives and some final considerations of the work; 
– They must present three to five keywords;  
–  Abstracts  should  be  sent  in  Word  format,  as  an  attached  document,  to  the  email teatroromano@museudelisboa.pt 

The  proposals  will  be  analysed  by  the  Congress’s  Scientific  Committee  and  the  decisions announced until February 20th. Participants whose abstracts are accepted will have to present their work in poster format during the Congress.  

The characteristics regarding the format of the posters will be provided when the evaluation results are communicated. 

The presentations and posters will be published in SCAENA – Revista do Museu de Lisboa - Teatro Romano, in the 2024 volume. 

The  International  Congress  Performance  Buildings  in  Roman  Lusitania  will  have  the participation of several researchers specialised in the present subjects, covering topics related to the various performance buildings, but also transversal aspects to this type of constructions.

POSTERS: 
The posters will be in A1 format, suggesting legible fonts of size 36 for the title, 27 for subtitles and 24 for texts and bibliography.
