The second largest collection in the Museum of Lisbon is of particular importance as it documents the many changes which took place in the city over the last 150 years, as well as its most emblematic events. It includes a thematic group organised by Lisbon expert Augusto Vieira da Silva and documentation relating to the activity of the Museum of Lisbon and the municipal museums from which it originated. Francisco Rocchini (1822-1895), Augusto Bonone (1852-1910), Henrique Nunes (1820-1882), Mário (1899-1967) and Horácio Novais (1910-1988), and António Rafael (1941-2005) are just some of the illustrious photographers documented in this collection.
