Os Espacialistas at the Roman Theatre

The Place from Where One Can See Time, Body and Space

06 Apr 2021 — 27 Jun 202110h – 18h

Ticket: 3€ (includes the visit to the Museum)

Based on the etymology of the word “theatre” as a place for viewing, and its status as a site museum, Os Espacialistas aim to “imagine the memory” of Lisbon’s Roman Theatre through a set of spatial sculptural/performance exercises in order to undertake a creative and playful archaeological excavation. Gestures – as bodily ideas – will be photographically sketched in a fragmentary dialogue with the theatre’s remaining spaces: the place (from) where one can see the passing of Time, the presence of the Body and the construction of Space. Not just in the city of Lisbon but in all of us who live in it and imagine it.
